Seeing is believing
We had heard about some of the really difficult situations people were living in near Juarez Mexico. Still yet, we were not prepared to see the reality of it.
Pictured here is a shelter that a family was using as their home. Children were living in this space when our team came upon it.
Look of desperation
Doing street ministry in Juarez, we came upon this little girl and her father. She was in a bad state and her eyes had a look in them as if she had just chosen to not feel anything anymore. She didn't cry. she wasn't angry. She was just existing.

We connected with her father and brought her clothing, food, diapers, and some other things the next day. We were able to stay in contact with this family for a little while, and it did appear that our connection had a significant impact to help this little girl.

A health check that followed a few weeks later revealed a healthier little girl, she was smiling and looking much better. We have since lost contact with this family

Christmas in Juarez
Here we delivered shoeboxes for Christmas to a group of children in a community outside of Juarez. The kids all received some needed things like clothing, hygiene items, etc. But they also each get gifts like soccer balls, dolls, hot wheels, and other toys.

For almost 90% of these children, this is the only thing receive at Christmas time.
Everyone. Everywhere.
Why go to Juarez? That's a question we've been asked many times by well-meaning people. Packed in that question is the realization of the danger and the inability to change it all, so why go?

The best answer we can give you is this. Jesus left the splendor, and peace of heaven, to come to earth to rescue us. He came to where we were.

This is the heart of God. Go to everyone, everywhere. Bringing them the love of God, the message of the gospel, and the hope of heaven.
